Costume Update 3

July 10, 2015

The scales arrived for my scale mail! I decided to take a break from designing the leather to start on the scale mail. I'm going to make Jikun's first, since his scales are bigger than Eldaeus' and should be easier to make.

But omigosh. Making scale armor takes FOREVER! Each of the tiny rings first has to be opened, and then I thread one scale onto each and link them into sets of four.

Then I join those sets onto the entire piece. I watched soooooo many movies while I was making this... But here it is so far! It looks AWESOME!

And nope, I'm not daunted by the fact that Eldaeus has 6,000 tiny scales. Nope, not at all heh heh.......

Steps of Power will be at the Fandomfest Comic Con Expo in Louisville, Kentucky from August 7 - August 9 2015.
